Dear Colleague, Family and Friends,

I am excited to be "walking" again this year again in the Atlanta Mission 5K on 2/17 alongside my daughter Morgan. Many of you are aware as to why this is a cause close to my heart. Reconnecting with my father in my adult life and finding out he was homeless for much of it has had a profound impact on me.

When he passed away in 2015 and a detective called me at work to determine how to best manage it has taken me some time to reconcile within myself that even though he made mostly bad choices in his life, he was very much human. Often times the shelter/services being provided for him was the only "normal" he experienced. They offer services such as warmth, food, mental support, etc.

I have made it a priority to do all I can to support and help the homeless community and this is just one "tiny" way I can help and solicit the help of others.
